Introduction to Blog
Welcome, My name is Dana and I have a rather strange talent. I can play the penny whistle by ear to contemporary music. Although I cannot read a note of music for this instrument, I find that by just listening to the music I am able to play along with it in most cases. As of the date of this post no videos have been created yet. This blog is to keep everyone informed of when videos are uploaded to YouTube.
I have discussed this with a good friend of mine and he suggested that I need some sore of gimmick for my videos. Since I am not talented enough to create an animated dancing bear playing a whistle I have decided to do three things:
1) Videos will consist of songs that I have already been playing
2) I will take a cue from the movie "Julie & Julia" in that I will attempt to play all the songs in the soundtrack for the TV show "Glee"
3) For my blog followers, I will take requests for songs. Just provide the name of the song and artist and I will do my very best to do the song and post a video of it. Keep in mind that I may not be able to do the song. The penny whistle has limitations in range and key that it can play.
I am looking forward to see where this all goes. Everyone who has heard my performances have enjoyed the humor in playing the penny whistle to contemporary music.
